On 2 August 2019, the University and College Union's National Dispute Committee (NDC) published a template letter for UCU branches to send to employers.
Universities UK (UUK) has now published a response that employers may wish to use as part of any reply to UCU, or updates for their staff.
The document addresses the demands made in the NDC letter, reiterating that both UUK and individual employers have pushed USS to incorporate the JEP's recommendations, and explaining why it is not reasonable to demand that employers pay 100% of any contributions increases arising from the 2018 valuation.
